COMMISSIONING OATH
(translated from Hungarian)
I, ________, ceremonially vow on Almighty God, that I am loyal to and have an utmost respect for the most honorable vitéz noble Horthy Miklós de Nagybánya, Hungary’s legally elected Regent, for the Hungarian Constitution, and for our country’s sacred laws.
I vow that in everything and always I will fulfill my responsibilities, according to the specific orders as a Hungarian Royal Csendőr (Csendőr Officer) in the service of public order, peace, and safety, and according to the military law and regulations as a soldier; I will not join any anti-national or anti-patriotic organization or movement that undermines the military or csendőrségi discipline; I am not and will not become a member of any secret organization; I will further the good of the service, the Regent, and the country under all circumstances; I will readily obey the laws and the charges and orders of my superiors; I will faithfully keep the secrets of the service confidential. May God so help me! Amen.

Édes Hazám, magyar róna, magyar erdő, magyar vég, Téged járlak éjjel-nappal, télen-nyáron, nagyon rég. Népem biztonságát őrzöm megrendíthetetlenül, Érted élek, érted halok magyar népem egyedül, Érted élek, érted halok, híven, becsülettel, vitézül.
Száműzetés lett a sorsunk, idegen föld borul ránk, Ne felejtsd el hű fiaid: érted éltek, szép Hazánk. Kakastollunk nem leng többé, járőrbe már nem megyünk. Szeresd, őrizd kicsi népünk, amikor már nem leszünk, Helyettünk is védjed Öket, erre kérünk Istenünk.

CSENDŐR TEN COMMANDMENTS
1. Remember, what you owe to God!
2. I am your homeland: the original land of Hungary!
3. You faithfulness, honor, valour are not for sale!
4. Be moral, sober-minded, obedient!
5. Give the same honor to your superiors as to your father; love your comrade as yourself!
6. Study and learn; knowledge is your second weapon!
7. Protect what belongs to others; do not waste your own!
8. The law is behind you, let it also be before you!
9. Don't accuse falsely; don't use your weapon against the innocent!
10. The family is a sanctuary; if you don't have one, you find it in your garrison!
